Dave BeckettBorn in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1939, Dave Beckett’s life long ambition was to become a professional artist. Dave reached this goal at the age of 40 when he traded in his marketing briefcase for his pastels and easel.Beckett’s landscape and still life pastel paintings portray a sense of tranquility. Dave travels extensively and often canoes in Georgian Bay, Algonquin Park and on the west coast in search of subjects for his next painting. His award-winning artwork is found in numerous corporate, government and private collections. Internationally-recognized, Dave Beckett is a signature member of the Pastel Society of Canada (PSC), The Pastel Society of America (PSA) and recently received the honour of being elected as a Premier Pastellist of Canada (PPC).
