Mark Tumber, B.F.A Honours, B.Ed.
Mark studied visual arts at York University and has taught studio and art history classes with the Scarborough Board of Education. Mark also offers private art instruction in portraiture, figure drawing and wildlife rendering. He is one of few artists to offer online art classes.
Tumber’s pencil drawings are renowned for their photo-realistic detail and texture.
His artwork covers a wide range of subjects such as Muskoka/Huronia architecture, Canadian wildlife, celebrity/sport portraiture and commissioned portraits demonstrating Mark's incredible eye for detail. His art resides in private collections throughout North America and Europe. In 2001, Mark Tumber was commissioned to draw the Right Honorable Jean Chrétien; this artwork now hangs in the House of Commons.
