Michael French

Living on the Isle d'Orleans in a house overlooking the St. Lawrence River, his studio is in Old Quebec above the walled city above the St. Lawrence. He is known for his acrylic landscape paintings which he creates in his studio from graphite on-site drawings. He was born in British Columbia, Canada and has been a full-time professional artist since 1969 when, at the age of 18, he presented his first solo exhibition. In the early 1970s, he homesteaded in Newfoundland and eventually built his own home.
