Rut held audience with Pope
Benedict XVI at the St. Pete's
square in the Vatican as two
large paintings done by Rut
were entered into the Vatican
art collection.
As part of this distinguished honor, Pope Bendict XVI blessed
Rut's pieces, "Nolite Timere" and "Be Not Afraid". Rut said of the experience, "To see my paintings in the company of Michelangelo, Rafael and all the other great names who have led, defined and inspired our
culture for hundreds of years is the greates honor and aknowledgement I could hope for."
