Jean E. Nerfin was born in Switzerland in 1922. After serving in the military during WWII, Nerfin worked in London and Paris. It was here that he was able to absorb the sophisticated art scene of the 1940s. In 1951, he opened his own commercial design firm in New York where he associated with other famous artists like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning.
“What's Going On Here?” was completed in 1978 and it is as relevant today as it was 44 years ago. A truly remarkable piece of Art.
